The Principality of Andorra is a little state that is wedged between France and Spain. It is renowned for its mild tax climate, and thrives on tourism. The country is not a member of the European Union, Andorra hasn’t got an own valuta, so you can simply pay with euros. Andorra is the highest country in Europe, the lowest point of the country lies on 840 meter above sea level, and on average you are in this country at nearly two thousand meters altitude.
Andorra offers many especially for nature lovers. In summer the mountains are in bloom, and you can have a splendid walk through the valleys. In winter there are four major ski resorts in the country opened, which are all at high altitude and so they are snow sure. Although the country only recently awoke from its isolation (in 1993 Andorra became independent from France), tourism has become a major source of revenue.
As stated, sightseeing places in Andorra are mostly in nature. Majestic mountains, green valleys, glacial lakes, you find it all in Andorra. But culture lovers can indulge as well. There are several museums in Andorra, including the rich history of the country. Also nice, the Museum of artist Josep Viladomat, where the little state of Andorra is shown scale.
