Czechia, officially the Czech Republic is a Central European country. The country is bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, north to Poland and Slovakia in the east. Formerly Czech Republic was a country with Slovakia, but since 1993 both countries seperated.
The country is hilly, with peaks up to 1600 meter, and for this reason different rivers spring in the Czech Republic, including the Oder, the Elbe and Vltava. There is a Middle-European climate, such as in Austria. The further east, the more it changes to a country climate. In the winter there is snow in the Czech Republic regularly, making it an emerging ski destination.
But in somer too, Czech Republic is a good spot for holiday makers. Several cities have an old town on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Obviously the city Pilsen, where the lager beer has been invented, deserves a visit. Czech Republic belongs to countries within the European Union that are not (yet) in the Eurozone. Instead you need Czech crowns (koruna) in your wallet.
